Introduction
High Voltage Break Down Tester, Model HV-100B is designed to meet testing requirements of dielectric strength tests in various electrical gadgets, appliances, components and electrical insulating material used or manufactured in industries.Current limit setting is provided on the front panel, which allows setting from 1 mA to 15 mA. During testing, if the current through the specimen goes higher than the preset value set on the Current Limit Switch, “CURRENT LIMIT/TRIP” annunciation is initiated and High Voltage Test is discontinued.
Equipment comprises of variable Auto Transformer for applying High Voltage to the device under test. This ensures long trouble free service of equipment. Carefully designed current sensing circuitry ensures accurate results of measurements.
HV and current sensing probes are designed using PVC insulating material having good electrical insulation properties.
