Introduction
High Voltage Break Down Tester, Model HV-50 is designed to meet testing requirements of dielectric strength tests in various electrical gadgets, appliances, components and electrical insulating material used or manufactured in industries.Model HV-50 is very convenient to operate. Test can be actuated using only one control switch provided conveniently on one of the test prod. The same control switch controls reset function in case the breakdown causes trip. More over, on completion of test, device under test gets discharged as the voltage gradually returns to zero volts.
In traditional HV test equipments, operator has to switch back and forth from device under test to control panel in order to apply test voltage and zero it on completing test. And when trip, operator have to actuate reset switch on the front panel. With HV-50 all this is now unnecessary work and user can get more production.
Current limit setting is provided on the front panel, which allows setting from 0 to 30 mA. During testing, if the current through the specimen exceeds the preset value set on the Current Limit Potentiometer, "TRIP" annunciation is initiated and High Voltage applied to the specimen is discontinued. Next DUT can be tested immediately by actuating control switch on the test prod.
