Introduction
Tacho-generator and Tachometer Test equipment Model TM-102 is designed to test Induction type 3 Phase Tacho-generators used in Russian aircraft series MiG-21 to MiG-29. The equipment incorporates quartz controlled precision speed controller with Digital Tacho-generator in its feedback loop. Speed can be varied from 0 to 3500 R.P.M. and measured on % R.P.M. meter having a range 000.00 to 120.00%. Equipment with other speed range can also be provided.
Independent Digital meter, having a scale 000.0 to 199.9 volts, is provided on the front panel, for AC voltage measurement to be carried out on the selected pair of three phase output of the Tacho generator under test. Electrical Impedance matching of the Tacho-generator and the testing equipment confirms to actual circuitry as implemented in the Air-craft. This ensures accurate measurement.
Users interface i.e. Controls and Meters are conveniently placed for ease of use. Electronics used in the design of the equipment is in the form of modular circuit cards for ease of maintenance. Adequate provision has been incorporated in the equipment for calibration. Calibration setting controls are easily accessible. This makes it easy for Test Laboratories to calibrate and certify the test equipment.
